Sunday signed SB 623 by Sen John Laird D-Santa Cruz which would postpone the statutory sunsetting of the presumption that PTSD is an occupational condition for some first responders until Jan. 1 2029. The PTSD presumption lawmakers enacted in 2019 was scheduled to sunset Jan. 1 2025.
